This temple is situated near Thiruninravur in Chennai. This temple was built by Pandian King. The main Shivlinga was installed and worshipped by the great rishi Sri Rishya Shringar. His father is Sri Vibandaga Maharishi. I visited this temple after a long gap of 10 years. The last time I visited, renovation work was going on and so I couldn’t see the whole temple.
This time, when I entered the temple, the lighting was very different. The whole temple was in pale yellowish colour. The Shivlinga was very huge. The Gurukkal performed Aarthi for both Shiva and Uthbalaambal. After the aarthi I sat down for meditation. In my meditation I saw the visions of Sri Rishya Shringar. I also felt the presence of the great rishi in his spiritual body. When he came near me, my whole body started to receive the vibrations. I immediately started to pray to him for his blessings. I lost my awareness and entered to deep unconsciousness and many visions came in my inner screen. After 45 minutes I regained my awareness and came out of the meditation slowly. I thanked the great rishi.
I also offered my prayers to Athimuga Vinayagar, Vallal Velan, Mandhra Murtheeshwarar, Arutpragasa Vallallar, Kaala Bhairavar, Singara Chandran and Singara Suriyan in their sannadhis. While coming out of the temple, the gurukkal pointed out that the temple was very ancient and so it does not have Navagraha sannadhi. But, in the later period of time, our rulers have constructed the Navagraha on the ceiling of the front entrance of the temple. I prayed to Navagraha and came out of the temple in full satisfaction. I want to visit this temple again and again to enjoy its spiritual depth.
